About the Game

Sancta is a dark, atmospheric survival adventure set in an abandoned underground world where light means survival.
You explore silent corridors, uncover hidden secrets, solve puzzles, and face enemies that cannot be killed — only avoided, escaped, or outsmarted.

The game focuses heavily on atmosphere, slow pacing, and constant tension created by the interplay of light, shadows, and sound.

🔗 Sancta is also available on Steam in Early Access.
The itch.io version is mainly intended for early supporters who want to support development more directly and get the game at a discounted price.

Key Features

• Environmental storytelling – the story and lore unfold through the world itself.

• Light as life – craft your own torches from found materials and protect them as a vital resource.

• Stealth survival – enemies are relentless and cannot be killed.

• Interactive environment – object manipulation, environmental interaction, and light puzzle-solving.

• Sanctuaries – safe places for saving, trading, and crafting.

• Psyché system – manage not only health and weight, but also mental resilience. Fear lowers psyché, which affects crafting and trading.

• Fragile world – some items degrade or break and are not permanent.

Development Status (Early Access)

Sancta is currently in Early Access.

• 🔹 The current version offers a short but atmospheric experience focused on exploration and survival.

• 🔹 Future updates will gradually expand gameplay systems, environments, and story content.

• 🔹 The full game is planned as a three-part experience with a total playtime of around 2–3 hours.
